Rhiannon Gayle
Musical Director
Rhiannon completed her professional vocal studies at the reputable Royal Academy of Music in London in 1986.
Since then, professional engagements have taken Rhiannon to many countries abroad including the Middle East where she was invited to make a recital tour. One year later and Rhiannon organised another Middle Eastern Tour with Lilliput Opera, to perform Humperdinck’s opera Hansel and Gretel.
In the U.K Rhiannon has performed many Oratorio works in venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, St Johns, Smiths Square and Birmingham Town Hall to name just a few.
Rhiannon successfully combined her love of music and song with performance, by working extensively for the English Heritage and National Trust for many years. Her performances in period costume and with period instruments, alongside her duo Alla Vecchio, plus a wealth of solo performances, enchanted audiences across the country.
In 2000 Rhiannon took over as Singing Teacher at the prestigious Marlborough College in Wiltshire and has since gone on to establish her own private teaching practice here in Harrogate.
As owner and Musical Director of Rock-Up - Harrogate’s first Choir of Rock – this is in part the fulfillment of a much anticipated dream where she can combine her love of music, voice and performance, in her own energetic and inimitable style. njk
